You always hear people asking for a sign. A sign that they’re on the right path or a sign that will help them make a decision in life. You’ve probably done the same right? I know I have. I’m a person that looks for signs in everything. Today I’m going to teach you how to stop searching for signs, and how to let them just come to you. I’m going to share the secret to manifesting your dreams and how to live your best life through personal development.
I’ve been thinking a lot about this topic lately. Probably because I’ve been spending more time alone in my thoughts, or trying to anyways. I’m a stay at home mom of 3 so you know that doesn’t happen too often haha.
But I’ve been looking back on my journey up until this point. Really looking at what’s brought me this far. I want to share a little bit of that with you. Because by someone else sharing their story with me, it inspired me to start my personal development journey.
So here’s to passing the hat and hopefully inspiring you. *cheers*
I always catch signs along the journey and I’ve always navigated my way through them. But I don’t feel like they ever just flowed naturally. I feel like there were a lot of sharp turns and curveballs thrown my way.
But maybe that’s because I was searching for signs in everything and getting off course. I was digging way to deep looking for I don’t know what and actually going in the wrong direction.
Instead of just manifesting what was right for me.
But what did I want?
Why did I feel like what I was searching for wasn’t really right for me?
Why did I feel like I wasn’t worthy of more?
Why did I feel like I shouldn’t be hoping for more?
I’ve always been grateful for what I have in life don’t get me wrong. Love, family, health, wealth (not that it’s riches lol), but just everything.
I’ve seen hard times in life just as much as any one else has but I’ve always been grateful for what I had.
But on the other hand, who doesn’t want more out of life? We all wish for more right? Live your best freaking life is the motto. Or should be your motto if it isn’t.
We shouldn’t feel guilty for wanting more.
But sometimes we do. Do you ever start to feel guilty for wanting more for yourself and your family? I have and it’s a weird, terrible feeling. But when you’re feeling that way, how do you stop it?
That’s what I started to ask myself.
I then realized you could stop those thoughts and control those feelings. And then shortly after, I started finding more and more material on Personal Development.
I would be up late at night, just bored, creating my dream life on Pinterest. Wishing for it to happen but thinking it wouldn’t actually happen. You know what I mean right?
And every so often these blogs would pop up about how to get your shit together and how to change your life. And they all had the same thing in common.
The posts all had similarities, with different tips, or different methods so to speak. But they all gave the same final answer to your problems.
The secret sauce..the magic pill..the answer to it all..
The key to manifesting your dreams is learning about who you are.
To become your true badass self, you have to learn what you’re about and what you really want. Get down to the nitty gritty.
Don’t do something just because you think you’re supposed to do it. Because life said so? Who put somebody else in charge of your life?
If you’re not being fulfilled, if you’re not happy, if you’re not waking up everyday and feeling like you are manifesting your purpose, you are in the wrong place.
You’ve gotta get unstuck and work on you.
Focus on you for a minute (like a good ass minute meaning days, weeks, or months) and freaking learn about yourself. Find your passion, like I talk about here.
Shut up the outside opinions and don’t let them deter you from doing you.
Figure out what you really want out of life and go for it. Go for your real dreams. The impossible dream. Ask for it. Put it out into the universe. Pray for it. Manifest it. And put forth the effort in reaching those goals.
They won’t just happen. You have to make it happen.
But, move in silence. This is you and you. You don’t have to tell anyone what you’re doing. This is all happening within your thoughts.
Protect your energy. Protect your thoughts.
So how do you practice personal development?
Well a great place to start is Pinterest. There are a ton of bloggers, writers, and authors who’ve put a ton of free material out there. For you.
Try typing in keywords like personal development, self growth, and positive affirmations. Look for journaling prompts that focus on asking yourself questions.
Just think and talk to yourself. Write down what would make you happy in love. Where can you see yourself in 5 years? What about in 10.
I also have another post about personal development that you can read here.
Remember that reading is knowledge and knowledge is power. Whether it’s a hardback book, an audio book, or reading a blog post like this one.
The power of your mind is incredible. Learn to love you, your true self. Learn to be the best you can be. Learn to keep learning everyday.
