Have you ever wanted to do something but fear held you back? I bet you can count more times than once. Am I right? Today I’m going to tell you about how I was able to overcome my fear and how you can do the same.
Not too long ago, I had a fear of starting this blog. I’ve always loved writing and when the idea of sharing my thoughts online came to mind, I was super pumped. But then fear and doubts started to flood my mind.
I had no clue what I was doing or how to get started.
I didn’t know what people would think or if they’d even like it.
All I knew was that I really wanted to write.
Let me back up my story a bit.
In the past, I dedicated my time to direct sales and network marketing.
I loved the products and the friendships I made but soo much negativity came with it.
There’s always someone bashing the product or they bash multi level marketing in general.
They also tend to label you as the girl who’s just trying to sell them something.
So even though I loved helping my friends and customers find, and love, these products, and making an income while doing it, I quit.
I gave it up because I was tired of the constant negativity and worrying about what other people said.
Network marketing really did help me as an individual though.
I learned how to grow as a person. It taught me how to become a leader and how to inspire others.
It also taught me that you can’t let fear hold you back. You can’t stay in the place that you’re comfortable in.. or uncomfortable in.
You have to step outside of your comfort zone to grow.
If you don’t evolve, you’ll be stuck with the same routine, the same problems, and the same feelings.
You have to take charge of your life. Even if that means quitting what you’ve always known, to move on to something better.
Start doing something that really moves you. Something that makes you happy and is worth risking all the fears you have.
I did not let fear win.
When I quit direct sales, I didn’t know what I was going to do.
The only thing I was doing was mommin’. I needed to do something as an individual. I needed something for me.
Like I said before, when the idea of a blog came to my mind, fear was right there with it.
But I was so passionate about my idea. I felt like this truly was part of my calling.
So I did it. I didn’t let fear win.
I bought my domain name and I started my blog. I did it scared and not knowing what the outcome would be.
Because fear should not stop anyone from following what they’re passionate about.
You have to put your big girl panties on, look fear in the eyeballs (AKA stare at yourself in the mirror), and say “not today satan!”
I’ve worked on many projects in my life but this blog is special.
This one is the one that helps me inspire you to overcome your own fear.
You can do this.
With a little personal development and a lot of believing in yourself, you can beat your fear.
I hope you stick around on the blog with me to learn more about personal development and so much more.
Lots of long nights and early mornings have gone into Mommin’ With Coffee.
I’m really proud of where my blog is at today and excited to see where it will go in the future.
Can you imagine if I had let fear stop me?
